My name is Anna, and I am 30.
I live in Beeston, in Nottingham, in a tall, narrow, Victorian red-brick house. I am a fully fledged Beestonian and I love it. I work in law, and in my spare time I enjoy exploring, eating and drinking, making endless home improvements, gardening, books, music, films, and being an autodidact. I do many of these things with Mark, who is a philosophy lecturer, coffee addict and rampant collector of LPs.
I grew up in Bristol, which is a city I love so much a am homesick for a fortnight every time I leave. My parents still live there, and I try to go visiting as often as I can, and can generally be found swanning around on Gloucester Road, Stokes Croft and Park Street.
We lived for a few years in Sydney, Australia, while Mark worked on a research project. You are likely to find me reflecting on, or lamenting the loss of, life in Sydney at regular intervals on this little patch of the interwebs.
